NuZoo Media Wins Multiple Awards for Educational CD Series
(Chicago, IL) — NuZoo won a Gold International Davey Award in the Interactive Multimedia Category, and a Bronze Horizon Award in the Education / Training Category for the interactive, educational video series “Cancer Risk Reduction Through Dietary Intervention.” The NuZoo Media awards were for a video series that was produced for the National Cancer Institute.
NuZoo Media used video, audio, animation, graphics, original music and songs in the “Cancer Risk Reduction” series. The purpose is to educate and encourage lower income children 11-14 in healthier eating to reduce cancer risk. Interactive elements allow users to make choices that identify them as being part of one group and take them down one of three paths. Based on the users’ choices, strategies, benefits, and stories are offered for encouragement and education. Key interactive elements include a menu planner for breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack, and a drag and drop plate section enabling users to choose from more than 100 fruits and vegetables categorized in the program’s five color choices.
“This is an honor for the staff here at NuZoo to be judged by peers around the world and win these awards,” said NuZoo president Dan Pulik. “Our clients know how hard we work to produce outstanding programs, and when we win an award we’re winning it for them, too. Everyone involved in this, from the animators and programmers, script writers, video and creative staff, worked hard.”
The Davey’s received more than 4,000 entries from across the U.S. and around the world encompassing video, interactive multimedia, integrated and multimedia campaigns, marketing effectiveness, web sites, radio, advertising, print and collateral.
